My Dad, whom I adored, was an accomplished oil painter, but he didn’t earn a living painting, doing stained glass, mosaics, or building. Most of his years, and now, his legacy, was in oil paintings, although he created mosaics, stained glass, and other media. His inspiration came from photographs or famous works, then he would spin his unique style into the work, often using pallet knives and various sized brushes. He loved to layer his oil, creating a thicker texture on his work. The result was a Sandy creation. When my Dad needed money, particularly after he retired, I would buy his paintings. He claimed that I was his best customer! Supporting my Dad by appreciating his work made me feel proud and we have his paintings all over our Colorado home. My Dad passed some time ago, but he’s with us every day in our house and is in every room. Here are a few pictures of my favorites:

Testimonial from Bonnie A

“It all started with a little wrought iron side table, with a wooden top…it never looked quite right. Then I saw Renee‘s beautiful mosaics, so creative and colorful! Beautiful wall pieces, vases, ornaments, musical instruments, tryptic! She made a beautiful tabletop customized with color, design, and size that turned my little wrought iron piece into a prize possession Thanks, Renee!”
